Tactic Arch (also known as Tactical Arc) is one of Venom's Overdrive Attacks, first appearing in Guilty Gear XX Slash for Venom's EX version.
Overview
Venom generates 5 white pool balls out of thin air, which hover in place for 9 seconds upon being set. Each button sets the balls in a set pattern:
sets the balls in an arrow pointing towards Venom.
sets the balls like a dice's "five" face.
sets the balls in a pentagram around Venom.
sets the balls in a diagonal line between Venom & the opponent.
sets the balls in a wide curve, the bottom starting at Venom's front foot.
- These patterns are directly shared with the same buttons used for Generate Ball and Dubious Curve, including the same formation set-ups for other already-deployed balls.
Unlike the other pool ball-deploying moves, the balls generated are the lightning-based ones empowered by connecting with Dubious Curve on-hit.
However, due to Tactic Arc not inheriting any offensive properties, as well as the pool balls being deployed not counting as Overdrive-based projectiles, this is one of the few Overdrives that is unable to lock-out the opponent's Psych Burst usage.
